A guide to the 7 series of Buffy the Vampire Slayer...

Series 1
A classic series but the series finalle came in the form of a double part pilot. Still it was short and sweet. And it got Buffy rolling so we consider it quite a success.

Favourite episode: Welcome to the Hellmouth / The Harvest are pretty much everyones favourite, including mine

Series 2
A good series indeed. Buffy was really getting into the swing of things and popularity was rising sharply gathering fans. The first real, "full length" series as it were. The series basically revolved around Angel turning to the evil Angelus half way through then at the end of the series Angel opened the gates of hell and Buffy sent him through it after Willow restores his soul. Aww, painful.

Favourite episode: Mine is Ted as it was the first episode I properly watched of Buffy but there are many other favourites, topping the list would be Go Fish but not by much.

Series 3
My favourite series! Buffy was pretty much at the height of it's power and this in my opinion was the final series that was really good. The series features the Mayor in his rise to evil power and the arival and turning evil of rouge slayer Faith.

Favourite episode: So many because they rocked. People generally like Doppelgangland the best and also Graduation Day though I personally prefered the Wish, Gingerbread, Band Candy and Helpless.

Series 4
Oh god, where did the writing go here. Series 4 ran concurently with the first series of Angel after Angel left in the series 3 finale. The series revolved around the Initiative, a group of demon fighting soliders including Buffy's romance with Riley and the rise of their body part build super solider Adam.

Favourite episode: The Hush is the obvious one winning awards and such and I can't say I disagree

Series 5
Suprisingly it turns out Buffy has a sister named Dawn. Also there is a god named Glory on the loose who wants to get back to her own dimention. The series ends with Buffy dieing - again.

Favourite episode: The series opener Buffy vs. Dracula probably just tips the scales to by my favourite episode so many people like the series finale, 'The Gift.'

Series 6
Well Glory is gone but Willow is getting pretty deep into this evil magic thing. Yup, she is going to go mental on everyone. The trio continue to annoy Buffy but when Wayne kills Tara, Willow gets angry and kills him. She then leads a trial of destruction until Giles and Xander come up with a plan to make her good again.

Favourite episode: Finally some good writing again. The musical, Once more with Feeling is my favourite though I also loved Tabula Rasa and Normal Again. Hells Bells can also be considered a favourite by many fans.

Series 7
Spike is a pussy which sucks as he got himself a soul but still there is the 1st evil to fight so no time for that. The possible future slayers are being killed off so Buffy brings them together and they build an army to fight mr original evil.

Favourite episode: Chosen is most people's favourite but I like the episode on Jonathon's documentary in 'Storyteller.'
